I saw this video this morning and got inspired:



So here I am:



Two quarts of Everclear. Cherry chips on the left, and Jack Daniels oak whiskey barrel chips on the right. Toasted at three different temps as done in the video, then charred with a propane torch.

And a tiny bit left in the Everclear bottle for a comparison taste taste later.

Are you going to temper that 190 proof down? That stuff will take the hair off your chest.

nice steve, to me cherry is too bitter. Gonna try blackberries in a few months when neighbors bush blooms. Not sure I wanna leave the fruit whole or mash em then strain.

Looks like an awful amount of work to make everclear taste bad... I mean worse. Just pour a cap in some cream soda or root beer and be happy! Three is all it takes.

Nope, and as soon as you said Cream soda that was it.

This one time when I was 14 my buddy and I swiped a bottle of Chevas from my dad. We knew we had to mix it with something, and we chose grape soda.
It was a bad night.

I will say that Cream soda with Everclear would have to be better than that though.

If you want that flavor, do it right.

Take the Everclear, or Vodka, and make limoncello.

After that, mix the limoncello with a little OJ, and BAM!, an alcoholic creamsicle.

They go down smooth & quick, and you’ll wake up neither…

this is what we drank in Saudi Arabia, 190 cut by 60% with water and added oak chips for color.

oh steve forgot to mention only thing your gonna notice every week is color, ever so slight change. I keep it in a cool cabinet If you wanna taste test I would do it every few months. the longer it sits it will taste better
