It's a good night.

I pushed aside the Evan Williams and I'm sipping some Lagavulin 16-year. God, that stuff is good.

Hell yeah, it is.

Elysian The Immortal IPA and Redbreast 12yr for me. Trying to get some sleep. Going turkey hunting tomorrow and am fighting pre-trip insomnia.

SHARKS lost, drinking Silver City Fat Scotch Ale. Surprisingly better than the bourbon barrel aged fat scotch... and for almost half the price...

Zaya rum....magnificent stuff with a splash of coke. Its a stronger flavored, darker rum but a hell of a deal in my book

Jameson cask mates.... regular jameson is ok but this version takes it to the next level and is delicious

The wife and I have been really getting into scotches lately, and have been sampling a new one each month or so. It's been fun sampling new things and trying each bottle out in different ways. Neat, with water, with just ice, or using chilled rock cubes. Most we've preferred neat, but the Glenfiddich 12 could use a splash of water. I do have to say things can get pricy quick. We've been shopping around, but I have to say state liquor tax is a bitch.

Tonight I had a pour of Aberlour 12 double cask, tasty. Followed up by Auchentoshan 12, also tasty. Both neat.

Costco is your friend. And that Aberlour 12 is a new favorite. Pretty sure as long as Costco is stocking it I'll have a bottle in my liquor cabinet.
