I am wondering what woods people like to use for the different wild game that they cook. Finding info on Beef, Chicken, Pork is easy enough, but what do you guys use on your wild game? If you mix woods for specific things or use different woods on the same meat, let me know as well. Anything you use, your grandaddy uses etc, looking for ideas and options for everyone to try.
Venison (different for white tail, vs blacktail vs Muley?) Elk Moose Bear Cougar Turkey Grouse Duck Goose Salmon Trout Bass etc, etc...
Lets hear it folks!

For fish and fowl and cheese, apple or alder gives a nice light flavor smoke. For game meats, and all jerky, if you want a bolder smoke flavor, hickory and mesquite get the job done.

So, when does that "Old enough to know better" shit kick in??? I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.
