Transfers?

Here at Rehv Arms we try to offer the largest possible selection. However, if you do choose to order online feel free to send your firearm our way. Or, if you are purchasing from a friend we can help streamline the process.

Out-of-State and Online Purchase Transfers

When we receive your firearm we require contact information from you, the buyer. This would mean filling in your own information for customer and billing information, while you list us as the shipping address. Along with this we require an invoice. Sometimes they ship with the firearm, but this isn't always the case. Before you come in make sure you either have the invoice printed out or have it located so you can email it to us if we require. We also need your driver's license or state issued identification card that contains your current address. If you do not have a current address on your driver's license we also will accept vehicle registration or you can update your information on Washington state’s Department of Licensing website under “License Express” and show that updated information to us at the store.
Sometimes we run into an issue where a customer orders a firearm for someone else under their own name. We are federally required to transfer the firearm to whoever's name was listed on the shipping information. This means that if you are purchasing for your spouse, family member, or friend you must list their name on the customer/billing information.
Many online firearms dealers may tell you to give us a call and notify us that you have a shipment coming. This is not necessary and we will give you a call when your firearm arrives. Sometimes you will receive a notification that your package has arrived, please give us a little bit to open the package and acquire the firearm into our inventory system and give you a call before stopping in.

In-Person/Private-Party Transfers

For in person transfer we require both parties, buyer and seller, to be present. The Seller must have valid photo identification and the buyer must provide a Washington State drivers license or Washington State ID. It is required that these have a current address. If you do not have a current address on your driver's license we also will accept vehicle registration or you can update your information on Washington state’s Department of Licensing website under “License Express” and show that updated information to us at the store.
If a transfer is being done between two individuals and is being shipped either by the seller or through a FFL, a bill of gift or bill of sale is required. This would state that “I the (Seller’s name) gift/sell this firearm to (Buyer’s name)” This would also include a photo copy of the seller’s state issued identification or driver's license, and the make, model and serial of the firearm being shipped and to be signed by the seller.

Shipping Outward
We also are able to ship outwards! If you are selling or gifting to someone that requires you to ship, we can guide you in that process. The shipping fees are based on the size and weight of the box. We charge a transfer fee for this process as well.

Fees
Our current transfer fees are $60 per firearm and $45 per receiver or frame. In addition to this. Washington State has a mandated $18 fee on semi-automatic rifles, we call this the SAR fee. The reason why we require an invoice as stated above is because Washington State Taxes must be paid on a firearm purchase. If you were not previously charged the WA sales tax we collect that tax. If the transfer is a private-party transfer no tax is required to be collected.
