Who can cut a 14.5'' Rainier Arms Mountain barrel down to a 11.5 or 12'' barrel and then thread it?

Just dropped off a barrel with Rainier Arms to have it cut, crowned and re-threaded ($66).
Will see what the quality of their work is like. |

I called CAR about threading a shotgun barrel for chokes and they didn't have the tools to do it. I was kinda disappointed since everyone sings his praises.

Tpryder should be able to do this and I believe he has the tools to do chokes in a shotgun

It's not unusual for shops to specialize in one or the other. the tools are not that expensive for shotguns and there is just a few over half can be made by the gunsmith. there are only about 1000$ worth of tools need to be a gunsmith (minus a lathe) and most milling operation can be done on a drill press or a lathe. most gunsmiths specialize because of interest not the cost of tools. i hate working with wood so i dont do stocks
