Who can cut a 14.5'' Rainier Arms Mountain barrel down to a 11.5 or 12'' barrel and then thread it?

Can you be somewhat close to Tacoma WA please!

Just dropped off a barrel with Rainier Arms to have it cut, crowned and re-threaded ($66).
Will see what the quality of their work is like.

I called CAR about threading a shotgun barrel for chokes and they didn't have the tools to do it. I was kinda disappointed since everyone sings his praises.

It's not unusual for shops to specialize in one or the other. Tools are expensive so many shops will invest in one or the other, rifles or shotguns.

the tools are not that expensive for shotguns and there is just a few over half can be made by the gunsmith. there are only about 1000$ worth of tools need to be a gunsmith (minus a lathe) and most milling operation can be done on a drill press or a lathe. most gunsmiths specialize because of interest not the cost of tools. i hate working with wood so i dont do stocks
