The reason the trigger and hammer look different is they are case hardened from the factory. They aren't blued or otherwise finished. The type of steel is likely different too.

The hardening shouldn't affect the color, I am pretty sure it is the steel content and perhaps the reason why the factory never blued them (they either case hardened them or nickle plated them).
