Another Newbie from Tx here.. Ive been in WA way too long already, but Im not letting go of my Tx heritage!! Just met a couple of the members of this site in a FTF sale of some ammo
 I was invited to become a member, so here I am!! Ive been on hunting-washington.com forum for a while, and Im also on seattleguns.net |

Fort Worth Texas, born and raised.. Also lived in Cleburne Texas for a while.. Ive been in Wa since 2006 when the Army brought me here.. Then somehow I got stuck here after I was done with Active Duty. I keep trying to get back.. Maybe after I sell a few AR mags Ill be able to move home! LOL.

I grew up in Walker County and have family strung out from Fort Worth to Cut and Shoot. I'm planning on a few more years here, then doing some snowbirding.

I am with you dropshot. I was raised in the Waco Temple area and have been to the Alamo a few times. It is a cool part of history and worth visiting, but it is simple, we Texans got our ass kicked. Funny story about the movie that Billy Bob Thornton was in. I old buddy of mine was an extra when they filmed it and during the scene when all the Mexican were headed for the Alamo he turned to the guy next to him and said "Are we pouring concrete today?". The director was pissed because they had to reset the whole thing and shoot it again. Anyways welcome to a fellow Texan. I assume you are military?

It is not that they "got their ass kicked" as much as it is, they knew they were fixin' to get their ass kicked, and stayed behind anyway, that makes this battle a special piece of history.
