 There once was a guy from Kenmore...
still learning about .22 rim..uh..fore, he'd bought a new gun, joined the forum for fun, and wrote a limerick that didn't rhyme at the end. or the beginning. or have the right number of syllables. I'm gonna stop here.
Hi folks, my name's Jason. I can't remember how I found this forum; I was either scouring the internet for .22LR ammo accuracy comparisons (informational rabbit hole) or was looking for a place in Washington to go shoot ground squirrels (srsly, where??). I found a couple of posts I wanted to share my perspective on, kept reading, and really liked the humor you guys have! I've been shooting for about ten years now, but recently decided to get a little more serious about it. I joined the Kenmore Gun Range to get access to the 300yd targets, I'm teaching my pistol-toting girlfriend to shoot a rifle this summer, and want to get more active in the local shooting community.

I'd been shopping hard for a 10/22 Tactical Target, found one at DJ's in Bothell, and was shown a Volquartsen in .22LR that hadn't been put on the shelf yet. They'd taken it in a trade and so were required to hold it for 30 days, but they let me put down a deposit. SO... with any luck, as of Monday I'll be shooting a Volquartsen .22. Optics should be arriving tomorrow! Pics will surely follow. Hey Massivedesign, here's a video of her at the range last week. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` I joined the Kenmore Gun Range to get access to the 300yd targets, Just don't shoot the squirrels on the Range at Kenmore. They'll toss your ass out. Same thing for the Crows that like to land on the target frames. Only legal "livestock" to shoot at the Kenmore range is "Flies". Those that get a good "splatter" post their targets on the bulletin board. Rumor has it that some people actually "bait" their targets with a drop or two of honey on the bullseye.
Oh please. Dark side is for Cease Fire Washington members. And, maybe some SGN folks. Welcome to Wa Guns, and thank you for your obvious good taste in websites, and humor.
Welcome to WaGuns. If you want to get more involved in the shooting community this is surely the place to do so.
I had a beautiful shot at a robin last fall, and it was all I could do to ignore it. Roy had a sense of humor about it when I mentioned it to him, but I'm pretty sure it was only because I hadn't taken the shot. Baiting the bullseye, huh? Not a bad idea, I'll have to try it... with a seed bell! What's SGN?
 Re: There once was a guy from Kenmore...
It stands for Serious Gun Nerds - no, actually, Seattle Guns dot Net. The not so humorous website. For serious people only. Humor not appreciated. Don't be funny, or you will get your pee pee whacked. As in how I ended up here, living happily ever after ! SGN is a good site, but has a way different attitude regarding oversight. These guys here started Wa Guns as a way to be a community, and use a light touch to moderating same. As a result, we tend to self moderate most of the time, because the privilege of belonging to the forum makes it worth while. Plus, it is like family, not a business. Way cool, and like the Second Amendment, worth fighting for. Major props to the boys for making this site a reality. There isn't anything else remotely like it.
