Site is fine the way it is - any bling either costs too much money, allows the software provider too much access or control, or is a pain in the ass function versus form.
Yes, we all like features - not because we need them, but because we grew up in a world where " New And Improved " was the way the ad men sold us into slavery.
Change usually is not for the better.
Keep it simple - or we could all and up whining about " The Good Old Days " on Wa Guns.

Good point.
People are beginning to understand how their own habits affect others, regarding health. (Like with the CCP virus.)
I've been wondering for years when people are going to begin to understand just how much their surfing habits affect others.
Surf with all the bells and whistles on, and you pick up nasties. Then you pass those nasties on to others, in places where all the bells and whistles are turned on.
Doing something like controlling what javascript can and cannot run, when you visit a site, is like wearing a mask when you go into a grocery store. You still have a chance of getting infected. And yeah, you lose some bling. But you are at least some kind of 'protected'.
I mostly just deny cross-site, or cross-platform javascript. Trackers. Pop-ups on most sites. Anything at all that wants access to my computer itself. (Like mic, or camera, or files, especially.)
