 Postings timing out?
Who else is having this problem: So, over the last week when replying to posts I have been getting a random error message that looks like this: I thought it was me and was looking locally on how to address the issue when a few other members began informing me that they were also receiving it. I have made sure that the DB and front end are solid, so it is a Godaddy issue and have contacted them about it. If you receive this message, the post you just wrote is NOT gone. You have 2 options. One is to go back one page and hit submit again, the other is to hit F5, which should then post up what you wrote and life is normal. On chrome, when I F5, I get this message: Just click continue. So, if you are having this problem, or not, please vote in the poll above. Any additional information you may have about the event etc, please post it below.

 Re: Postings timing out?
I think there is a timeout setting that must have been lowered. If I keep the window open for more than 30 seconds it happens.

 Re: Postings timing out?
The phpBB settings (this board) are set broad enough where it is not our end. I agree, it's about 30 seconds on average, but has happened to me when it takes less than 10 too!

 Re: Postings timing out?
I've been hitting the refresh arrows in my tool bar when I get the timed out notice and then everything goes through.

 Re: Postings timing out?
Solution is in the works. GoDaddy gave me a string of code to put into one of our forum files. It could take 30min - 2 hours to execute on the GD server. We shall see!

 Re: Postings timing out?
Yes, been driving me crazy., Was waiting for you or MP to tell me to stop using IE... Glad it was happening to you also. Hitting back for me would not save the post and I would just give up. Last night I learned the refresh trick. Glad a fix is hopefully on the way. I was thinking I might have to switch forums. I hear great things about this one about dolls of some sort....
And F'k me, it happened on this post...

 Re: Postings timing out?
Issue should be resolved. I want to also thank member badkarma for bringing forward an issue caused by the fix and helping me to get THAT fixed!
