A poor man's version...
Well, old military guy...
Drop a partial amount of the contents of a MRE heater with about an inch of water into a 2 liter bottle. As the contents mix... will pressurize.
(finding the amount needed to fill but not explode the bottle is the key).
*for those that just want to proceed directly to the explosion part... just drop the contents of the MRE heater in an inch of water, seal and toss (and run).

Seems kind of expensive for what it is, no? $100 for a valve? I bet one could be made for WAY less than that. Pretty cool idea though. Maybe instead of the MRE heater, just a couple of small bits of dry ice?

When I was a crazy kid, we put vinegar in a plastic bottle (just fill the feet/dimples at the bottom) then roll up some baking soda in a paper towel. Drop the paper towel in when ready, tighten the cap down tight and shoot it with a bb gun. The longer you wait the better it did if the lid holds. Glass bottles were lots of fun put dangerous.

Kinda cool. Gonna try a Chinese reverse engineer on that and see what happens. ***ALERT ALERT ALERT*** The use of this device requires the shooter to aim AT the target WHILE ATTACHED TO THIS DEVICE. ANYONE WITH PROVEN DIFFICULTY IN *NOT* HITTING VALUABLE PIECES OF SHOOTING MATERIALS---CHRONOGRAPHS, HANDS, NEIGHBORS, VEHICLES, OTHER WEAPONS--IS DISCOURAGED FROM ENTERTAINING THIS IDEA ANY FURTHER. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Pretty much. Now . . . think back to the times you've seen people shooting at Tannerite targets. How many shots did it take? How many times did the dirt fly up AROUND the target before it exploded? And I'm not just talking about mash man at the New Years shoot. Or justincredible3 at the Oly pit. I'm talking about 90% of the time you see folks shooting at Tannerite. You're gonna need some pretty good AR500 all around that gadget to keep it intact!
