We had a referendum to vote for. I got off work and went to an elementary school that was my designated polling place. I had to show my government issue ID where I was given a ballot and an assigned booth to go and vote. I have not voted in person in over two decades. I felt like one of those poor souls, who for years was trapped behind the Iron curtain who finally snuck their way out of their oppressive homeland to finally breath the clean air of freedom. God help you poor souls still trapped back home. And they were able to tally the results the next day! It's been a long time since this old man felt like my vote meant something again.
