Well Fuck I was delayed for the first time buying a gun WTF. I was down in Tacoma and working buy a gun store. I wanted to pick up a AR receiver. The store uses a computer system for their forms. I was not working right at first then the guy that tried to submit it had to do it several times before it would go through. Then he tells me its delayed first time ever after all the guns and suppressors I have bought . So now I have to wait until it comes through then drive back to Tac town . Second lesson of the month on guns don't buy from a store that far away from where you live. Im kind of pissed off with the whole computer form thing not working right and I dought I will buy anything from there again having to deal with that system Update here I went back to SAA in Tacoma and I was told that I was denied . So I asked if they could try again and that I have a Concealed permit and don't even have a speeding ticket on my record . He told me they don't do that so I asked If I could pay a restocking fee since I live so far away . I was told that they don't do that and its a $100 that they are keeping if I don't get the appeal. I will spend more money on gas for all the driving back and forth. I then told Yeadon and Talons who were going to buy some receivers not to do it because they might be in the same spot Im in. We leave and the guy says we slammed the door on our way out . I did not hear if Talons did or not but then he proceed to tell the other two not to hand me a gun because I might be a felon . A FUCKING Felon . I bought a gun a week before and a receiver a week after I tried through them no problems . I don't know If this is a game they like to play to get money out of a person. Well to finish the story after he called me a felon it got very heated with Yeadon and Talons a lot of who the fuck do you think your talking to and I cant remember all the things those two said but the guy was not expecting the response he got . so Now I guess I try and E mail NICS to see what happened if some thing was entered wrong or what I just don't see how I could be approved before and after

Well, you have to name the store to make your story more exciting.

I've had that same worry. I was leaving Spokane on a Friday last summer when I was looking for an XDs. Found one in a store there and then figured if I got delayed it would suck to have to drive back. Lucked out and found one once I got home. I've never been delayed, but I figure that would be the one time.
Sucks bro, hope all goes well.

Has to be surplus...
And since they charge you a hundred bucks If you cancel, he had no choice. Otherwise you can cancel the sale

Maybe it's just Eric Holder saying you need to buy less guns.

I was thinking maybe a 10% restocking fee would only be $10 I will spend more in gas than that

cant say ive purchased that many but ive been put "under further review" once or twice and if I had to make a second trip or pay their fee I would think applying for the upin would be cheaper and make me less angry (gas money, time, bad customer interaction)
Havent got mine yet but I will be. I travel the state and find toys far enough from home that I aint coming back just for the gun
makes you wonder what the problem is sometimes

The fact that they guy had to resubmit the form several times pretty much indicates operator error. Otherwise known as "Spastic Monkey" in IT support circles... OK, I'm out.
