Well, it looks like the previous owner did a swap of the radio. New head unit means no park assist or navigation. Still need to sort out the USB though.
Honestly, I'm half ready to move to Amish land. Give up on all this "civilization" and return to the earth. Tech, commerce, politics, it all just angry-ups my blood anymore.

I just so happen to be the regional director for the PNW Luddite assoc. Welcome to the club! Send your dues, $.25 in cash, taped to a postcard to me care of: Ma-pi WaGuns.org (while I am inclined to a general distrust of tech, I don't really hold office in any assoc)

I've programmed bios and firmware. But I just reached a breaking point in my 30s. So much time wasted watching stuff reinstall or update. Just to have to do it again the next year. I built and programmed my own set of proffie board run neopixel 1:1 lightsabers recently, but that's about all I've cared to do. I miss simple electronics. I can picture schematics in my head well enough but when it's all touch screens and hidden software menus I get aggravated.

God damn unethical piece of shit scamming motherfuckers at Straight Talk.
I am paying a friend's bill. They got a new job but won't be able to pay their phone bill before they get paid.
Whatever, it's prepaid. It's $35.
I make a payment on their site.
They fucking set my card up for auto pay. No opt-in. No opt-out. No options at all, just automatically do it.
Can't cancel it, because I'm not the account holder. Account holder can't cancel it because it needs to be processed as a REFUND first, which suspends the account, which obviously can't happen because 'new job'..
That leaves me filing a complaint with my bank, cancelling the card, and redoing all my own bills/auto pay/accounts, etc that use that card.

My mother. Expects ME to somehow get HER signed up for Medicare (three years too late!) and refuses to go into her employee benefits page and get ANY of the information about her company Blue Cross. Probably still pissed that I can't sign her 1040 for her too.
And she wonders why there are days that go without so much as a word said to each other and I prefer the company of the squirrels in the yard over her...

My mother, again. "Fix me some chicken soup, now!"
Three minutes later when the microwave's done and it's ready, "I'm too cold to put my arms above the blankets, set it aside til I'm ready." [unspoken: "Until it gets cold then I'll make you miserable bitching about THAT." ]
