Decided to go look at a Cherokee late in the afternoon.
Emailed him a couple of times and got replies back each time.
The last time I told him I was leaving in five minutes and told him what time I would be there according to the GPS.
He replied back, "sounds good".
TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER, I GET THERE AND THIS COCKSUCKER SONOFABITCH MOTHERFUCKER SAID HE SOLD IT!
"WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU CALL ME?" "I JUST DROVE HERE FROM AUBURN".
"Did you give me your phone number?"

He comes out of the house and hands me a wad of money, which I didn't count. I didn't say another word, I just stuffed the money in my pocket, got in the car and left.

I would have to go back and look. It probably balanced out but I did estimated tax payments based on the previous year. I'm self employed and my boss is an asshole.

Have 3, 1 car an two bikes. If they made full sized 1 ton trucks, I have one of them also.
If the US auto industry would follow the fit an finish aspects, they would have a huge leg to stand on.....

In all seriousness I would be livid. Money would not exactly make it up. But I don't shop CL and the like and probably overpay for cars buying new (well I still haggle like a madman) or used from only people I know..........but still that was complete shit.........

Well, you deduct the interest that you pay, and that reduces your taxable income, and then you pay taxes on that taxable income.

So, if you don't deduct interest, the amount of additional taxes you pay is your tax rate on that amount of interest.

Rough numbers: If you pay $1000 in interest and then deduct it at tax time, you'll save $250 (assuming 25% tax rate) in taxes.

You'll always save money by paying off the mortgage.

Having worked on their electrical systems (WSP) I can tell you, they're shit. The Code3 system that BMW contracted to have integrated into the police bikes SUCKS balls...

Just because you've worked on something doesn't make you an expert.

They had engineers design it; just because you couldn't figure it out, doesn't mean it sucks balls.

I had many friends riding BMW bikes, and me on my Hondas, while Harleys and others sat in the shop for weeks. Those friends never seemed able to ride.

Didn't read anyone say they couldn't figure it out.
Just that they're junk.

Bought my last Harley new in 1993.
In and out of the shop through 1995, maintenance and repairs.
Started doing my own maintenance, hasn't been to the shop since except for a few tire changes, still rides like new.
I don't trust the stealer bastards.

I'm talking about from a reliability standpoint.... Don't get me started on getting access to service/engineering manuals...

BMW said 'not us, talk to Code3', Code3 said 'Not us, talk to BMW'...

I ran into the same shit with Ford though, using Federal Signal and Whelen Equipment. Ford had custom versions of equipment, factory installed.... Call Ford and they say 'It's Whelen equipment, call them, we just put it in', but you call Whelen and they say 'Ford contracted us to build it, we can't tell you anything about it, we're under an NDA'.... Because it was all Ford branded shit... Even had custom versions of firmware so you couldn't use standard programming software for it because they wanted you to go to a Ford dealer and get charged an arm and a leg every time you need to change something.

SUCKS!

But I digress....

No one, anywhere, said anything was junk, nor that they couldn't figure it out.

One guy talked about something sucking, another said he had friends who rode while other bikes sat.
