http://madworldnews.com/map-fbi-stats-gun-ownership/With each horrific mass shooting, liberals are chomping at the bit to immediately slam law-abiding gun owners with stricter legislation, as if those who don’t abuse their right to bear arms are to blame. However, as every new bill pushes us one step closer to the paranoid left’s ultimate goal of banning these particular weapons altogether, the inconvenient facts and statistics begin creeping up that shatter the argument that guns are the problem.
Although numerous studies show that most mass shootings have one thing in common, and it isn’t the guns, the information-resistent anti-gunners refuse to acknowledge common sense, playing into their worst fears in the most irrational way.
Seeing as they don’t take too kindly to numbers, researchers thought that perhaps the gun grabbers will respond more intelligently to colorful pictures – but we’re not getting our hopes up.
According to compiled data from multiple studies, Movoto Real Estate created a detailed map from their findings, and the results are extraordinarily interesting.
Derived from a 2007 survey of small arms, as well as other studies, Movoto reveals the number of gun owners by state. To show a better comparison, each of the 50 states was associated with another country’s gun ownership.
“We then took the estimate of 88.8 guns per 100 people for the U.S.–which, seven years later, is likely higher–and used it to calculate each state’s estimated gun ownership, based on state populations from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2010 survey. (Of course, gun-ownership density varies throughout the country, but this number gave us an easy way to come up with comparable figures for all 50 states, since actual state-to-state numbers were not available.)
“Once we had the list of state numbers, we compared each one to Small Arms Survey’s list of countries and respective gun-ownership estimates, logging the nearest match.”
The top 3 states with the highest number of gun owners might come as a shock:
California’s total of 33.08 million guns is closest to China’s 40 million
Texas’ total of 22.33 million guns is closest to Germany’s 25 million
New York’s total of 17.2 million guns is closest to Pakistan’s 18 million
Surprisingly enough, 2 out of the 3 top states with the highest gun ownership are well-known for their liberal tendencies and left-leaning legislation, especially when it comes to the Second Amendment.

While this is shocking, there is another study that is nothing short of the icing on the constitutional cake.
Attempting to reassure readers that, if they feel nervous about guns, there are alternative measures they can take to satisfy their unwarranted delirium – but it only further disproves the anti-gun narrative.
Capitalizing on their specialty, Movoto created a list of the top 10 safest cities in the U.S., summarized from the 2013 FBI Uniform Crime Report.
The 10 safest American cities were then ranked:
1. Gilbert, AZ
2. Irvine, CA
3. Fremont, CA
4. Plano, TX
5. Chula Vista, CA
6. Chandler, AZ
7. Henderson, NV
8. Boise, ID
9. Scottsdale, AZ
10. Irving, TX
According to the FBI’s unbiased statistics, 5 of the top 10 safest cities in the U.S. are located in 2 of the top 3 states with the highest gun ownership. Coincidence? Gun owners know better than to chalk this up to sheer luck.
When conservatives, liberals, and even the non-political face a bad guy illegally possessing a banned firearm, they all call the good guys with guns to come to their rescue. Regardless of your political beliefs, the truthful can at least admit that the only thing that can stop someone from shooting up another school, church, or military base is an armed protector.
Not everyone can earn a badge, but with the proper preparation and respect, anyone can be the difference between a mass shooting and a prevented atrocity.
