The nail in the coffin for "Losing faith" in my home state of MN (1960-1979) was the day the voters put a comedian into office. I thought it was a joke. It wasn't.

Franken and Davis was the worst segment of SNL through the 70's.
The 'Al Franken Decade' was equally bad, as was 'Stewart Smalley'.
Responsible for more channel flipping than Fr. Guido Sarducci and Rosanne Rosanadanna combined.
Can't take him seriously, and he was never funny.
In conclusion, Al Franken is just a douchebag idiot.
