I think it's completely normal to mourn the loss of people that we admire. Whether they be an entertainer, athlete, or some other sort of public figure. If I meet someone on the street and they mention that one of their loved ones just passed, I would feel, maybe short lived, some sadness for them.

I appreciate threads like this, gives me a chance to keep up with current events and kind of get to know who was lost and the impact they had on society. Great shots of Nicky riding with the American Flag in that tribute video... a sad loss indeed.

I just saw the Dan Rather interview of him a few weeks ago (took place in 2015) as well as an hour long bio on AXS. Hard to talk about southern rock without mentioning The Allman Brothers.
