Both LSM and Defense. Typically Freshman defenders see the field as LSM. They work them into the defense once they get used to the speed in college, which is nearly double of high school! LOL!

https://vimeo.com/216346670/c5010438f1 @ 2:02 mark is 2min of his LSM highlights this year. CMU recruited him because of his LSM, Defender and even a Middie skills (as a sophomore) so they have him earmarked for playing two positions (Man up long pole as an LSM and a defender)
When he verbally committed as a sophomore he was the first player from WA state to be recruited in school history and their #1- 2017 grad to be recruited. Needless to say he made an impression at a Denver Team camp in 2014!
He had D1 schools hunting him down too but he didn't want to live on the East coast, no mountains there! :)
