California added 'misdemeanor hate crime' to the list of offenses barring you from firearm ownership in California....
Young and ignorant kid caught spraypainting 'No fags!' barred from firearm ownership for life. Dude gets into a fist fight and in the heat of the moment yells 'fucking n#&*@r', yup, banned for life... Now, if that wasn't just peachy enough.... Because a couple counties were allowing their schools to have armed teachers, it was also made illegal to have teachers bring their guns to school with. Previously, it was up to the school to allow trained teachers to carry. However, the state declared that a gun should never be in a place of learning lest it distract from the learning process... Meaning those schools now have no protection where they did before.
