Test the market. Don’t assume you know what they want. I know three owners that tried doughnuts, bisque and gravy and juice smoothies. All ideas failed to get any buyers worth the cost of the equipment. Don’t buy the farm when you can do logical tests that the numbers support.

We are modeling ours just like a very successful stand that is in Olympia,we are paying her a consulting fee and she will help us with the hiring of employees and she will also work at our stand for up to 2 weeks to help get us going. This project is more than just a coffee stand also. We are also doing mini/RV/boat storage, there will be 12 fully enclosed buildings of various sizes and 2 canopy covered structures. We will start with 2 buildings 30x130 and a 40x150 and a canopy 40x190 and then we will build as demand grows.

That’s good that you have coaching. I learned a lot by helping a friend get a food truck going. He had some good ideas but there was a lot of trial and error.
I wouldn’t do anything that takes too long to make. If people see a line they’re not going to want to stop.
Make things that are easy to eat. I can’t imagine trying to eat SOS on my morning drive. If you could make a biscuit with the gravy inside you might have a winner.
Not sure how similar the regs are between coffee stands and food trucks. Adding a deep fryer to my friends food truck was going to be a nightmare. He also has to have a base kitchen to operate out of. The truck is set up to mostly keep food warm.
No matter what you do, it’s hard to go wrong with bacon.

What we need to get is something that can be reheated up,like everyone says if there's a line cars won't stop, unless you have something they really like. These look like a good option,if I can just find someone who makes them.

I know they used to carry them at the Lacey Costco, but they quit 2 or 3 months ago and I had to find a new breakfast food.

Premade piroshkies and dumplings are ok, but a better product would be yeast rolls made by a local baker that you fill with something made in house. Heating up something that's premade will never be as good as warm buns stuffed with hot meat. Mmm, hot meat... in someone else's buns, that's what I'm talking about... *Ahem, ok. I'm back, moving on... This place is our first visit when we go back to Nebraska to visit family: https://www.runza.com/It's hard to tell in the pics but they just slice one side of the yeast roll and fill it with a mix of seasoned ground beef and cabbage. It's fast food, made by high school kids, so it can't be that hard. I'm positive that they use a pressure cooker for the meat filling but I'm not sure if it shows up at the franchise already done or if they cook it in house.

Not sure if you'd need your liquor license for it, since the alcohol is cooked off... but my wife and I just had Makers Mark infused caramel in a dessert tonight. It was the bees knees, prob for coffee too!
