It is enough to notice while not firing. I know the difference between acceptable movement and what isn't. When fired from a bi-pod on the eighth MLok slot, the dip it causes can be seen clearly. To me that is unacceptable. However, as I stated, once I moved the bi-pod in, the issue resolved itself.

What type of alloy is it made out of?

It is made with a blend of the hopes and dreams of peasant slaves mixed with the swindled aspirations of American small business owners fired in a furnace fueled by the souls of the middle class.

Wondering if these are 6061 machined to tolerances reverse engineered from a 7075 rail...
*nerd alert*
7075 is more 'rigid' and can be ran thinner than 6061 with equal 'strength'. So if this is 6061 the same thickness and/or 'design' as a rail in 7075 it may lack structural design elements necessary to keep it from flexing.
Just a thought.

The one I got is a solid tube, and a bit heavier than I expected. So it is very stiff. It only has three 2 inch rails at the very front.

Good review. I've been waiting for Steve to pipe in and say something. He hasn't yet. Anyone hear from him lately?

That sucks. I have a 10" keymod of the same origin on a pistol build and it has been solid so far. Granted I've only shot it a couple of times and all I have on it is an AFG. Glad I saw this. I was considering doing a 458 Socom build, buying a barrel nut, and swapping the handguard back and forth (cause I'm cheap like that). No longer. The barrel nuts had iffy reviews at best anyway. Not worth it on a thumper like 458 Socom. I would still go with the 10" for cheap 223 carbine/pistol builds where they aren't going to be stressed with lots of accessories. Where did you find AP handguards so cheap? Did I mention I'm cheap?

Thanks for the feedback on this. I'd feared the 15" might fail like this one did and I've been discussing redesigns with the factory. I'm sporting the 10" version on my rifle right now and it seems to work better. I am thinking a longer barrel nut may be part of the solution.

I'm giving serious thought to a .458 upper this month, and if I do, I'll be building it with a 10" M-Lok to see how it goes.
