At SHOT 2014, I was lucky enough to win a Redring Mark II shotgun sight. These sights are pretty badass. The closet I can compare is they are an EoTech designed for clay shooters and hunters.

Check them out here: http://www.redringusa.com/ (MSRP, $599)

Well, yesterday the mailman brought me my prize.. My Redring arrived!

The thing was packaged beautifully!

Inside was another thing of beauty!

It mounts to the rib of a shotty. There is also a pic rail adaptor that can be purchased as an option:

As you can see the reticle is similar to an EoTech:

Can't wait to get out and kill some clays!

It's been like 4 minutes. Is the review done yet?

Awesome sight!

I know it looks kinda hokey on the shotgun, but we got to try some clay shooting at SHOT Show with this sight . . . and even with some little bitty shotguns, I hit every clay they threw up for me. And no, I'm not that good.

Pretty cool stuff. I can't wait to try out Dan's at a real clay range . . . .

$600 bucks for a optic to shoot clays?! Fuuuuck that. Spend 600 on actually shooting clays (thrower, clays, ammo) with the bead sight and you should be pretty good. Do any medical insurance plans cover over priced crutches?

I agree.. I don't think I would ever buy one personally, but it's a very popular sight overseas. The Mark II is the American debut... And I got it for free!

Well you paid the right price for it. And I ain't saying it's a turd. Just ridiculously over priced. There's probably an app for my smarter than me phone that does the same thing. That and a bit of duct tape...

why do clay shooters always think the world revolves around them? there's way more to shotgunning than only shooting pottery.

this would be great for 3gun and turkey hunting.

but yeah, technology is a bad thing. bah humbug.
