after adding a scope to my vepr 7.62x54r, I needed to raise the comb to get proper eye height. the slip-on buttstock cheek pieces were super bulky and kept moving around no matter how tight I strapped them down. after a few months of suffering with this it was obvious a better solution was needed.
it's amazing what you can find on amazon. this guy is selling hand made kydex adjustable cheek pieces. and they are really something. beautifully done and super sturdy. the hardest part for me was ensuring the holes drilled in my wood stock were perfectly parallel. after a little adjustment, eye height for the scope is perfect
imo the OEM wood stock on the vepr looks pretty nice, with the adjustable cheek piece it is now super sexeh

replaced it with a side folding stock. the cheek rest worked great but i wanted to make my vepr more compact for transporting to the range.
