I have a pretty nifty upper for a Glock 17 GEN 3. I have a Glock 22 that I converted it into another gun using a serialized P80 lower. That lower will not work on my upper I have for some reason.

Would all I need is a lower parts kit for this frame to work on the other slide? In doing online searches, , some people say it’s the exact same thing. Other people are saying that the lower is slightly different. icon_eek

Anyone know for sure? I’d rather just buy a lower parts kit for what I have, instead of buying a whole new GEN three Glock and not using a slide.

Me and a buddy a few years ago decided to make some “ ghetto blasters” and I came up with this thing. For a 40, it shoots great.

Glock 17 and Glock 22 frames are the same within the generation. The differences you will find are in the slide, barrel and extractor primarily.

The only thing that should be different is the ejector.

Fantastic. The slide I got came with a new trigger also. So that will work. The only thing I can’t find is the mag release spring. Maybe that’s all I will need. Thanks for the replies! Much appreciated.

Looks like I need the block also. The frame is completely stripped. Anyone recommend a good LPK?

Yes, the gen 3 G22 & G17 frame are exactly the same except for the Ejector in the Trigger Housing.

Easier to just switch out the Trigger Housing w/ appropriate Ejector than to replace the Ejector by itself.

For LPK I can only recommend OEM, available from multiple sources such as RTG Parts, GT Distributors, Brownells, etc.

Wow, AIM actually had Glock brand OEM lower parts? Cool deal, they usually just have their own generic brand, which can be iffy according to many folks.

Their barrels and slides are kick add though. Got an AIM slide on the gun I'm carrying right now!

No, it was their brand. It’s all good though. I’m sure it will work for my purposes.
