Anyone have any hands on experiance with these? I've been looking into a EAA Witness 10mm but haven't bought it yet. Maybe the RIA could work too.

Not trying to rule out the RIA by any means,
I have a Witness in .40 and absolutley love it. If you have not had the chance to fondle one......give it a try, the fit in the hand is like no other.

Thanks MikeD. I have handled the Witness and have fallen head over heals for it, I'm simply wondering about the RIA since I haven't seen a 10mm RIA in person. Also I haven't heard anyone talk about them before either.
Toys, in this case I am stuck on 10mm. It's a caliber that I do not currently have and would like to get into. The Witness is what I'm planning on picking up but am curious about this RIA. I've got a RIA .45 and am very impressed by the cost to quality of it.

The witness is a great gun. EAACORP sells slide kits with mags so you can convert your 10mm to a 45, 40, 9 or 22.

Least that's how it was on black Friday which was the release date more or less. I have one waiting for pickup at my ffl. Won't be able to get it till next Sunday though. I'll do a review vs my glock 20 probably Sunday night

Well to be fair the glock 20 was my first 10mm and I've only got 100 rounds down range with it. The ria will be my first 1911 as well.
But if you guys want anything specific just let me know. Right now all I really plan to do is compare a stock g20 and the ria with stock factory ammo and with some Underwood or double tap ammo.
One more week! Being away from guns for almost 8 months sucks! First thing I'm doing when I get home is the range haha

I will be picking mine up in the morning.
I would have grabbed it today, but my LGS was having a hell of a time calling NICS. So we just sat and shot the shit instead. I sold a couple of guns for them while dicking around the store.
They really need to start paying me to hang out.

Picked it up today. Gave it the froglube treatment, hopped in the car, drove up to the range... Realized I didn't bring a coat, and am only wearing a tshirt. So, needless to say, my range trip was cut short. However the 6 or 7 mags I dumped through function perfectly. However taking apart the mags on these is just... Bleah. The double floor plate is silly. I will have a more comprehensive review later.

That looks like a great value for a 1911 and a nice looking one at that. I'm not that familiar with RIA. What are the trade-offs in a value priced RIA 1911 vs. something that would sell for twice that much?
