Picked up a new Browning Buckmark last night Buck Mark Plus Camper Suppressor Ready http://www.browning.com/products/firearms/pistols/buck-mark-pistols/limited-availability/buck-mark-plus-camper-suppressor-ready.htmlReplaced the Mr. T style gold trigger with a black aftermarket flat-faced trigger. Taking some co-workers from Taiwan to the shooting range on Tuesday so will get some trigger time then.

I'm interested in hearing what you think about it after shooting. I'm in the market for a new .22 pistol suppressor host, and I'm not real fond of the Ruger Mark series, so I'm looking for other options.

Sure thing G4L. I'll post up a range report after we get back. It will be some time before I pick up a suppressor for this gun as money is generally pretty tight right now. But I can comment on general handling, accuracy, trigger characteristics, etc.
I do generally like the Mk III though definitely not a fan of the aesthetics of the Ruger Mark IV Tactical series. We did have a Ruger Mk III Hunter for my ex-wife with Volquartsen trigger kit and that was a fine shooting gun though went with her in the divorce.
Thought of buying a Mk IV and upgrading with a Tactical Solutions upper but then the ball game gets a bit out of my current budget. Given the current market choices I really liked the aesthetics of the Buckmark a lot better.
One alternative though is the Smith and Wesson 22 Compact with threaded barrel. That looks like a fun gun. I chose to go with the Buckmark on the thinking the Browning trigger will be a bit finer. But will probably pick up the Smith also down the road.

Today I went to the range to try some new, old, and new old toys. It was all about the .45 Autos today. From left to right: - Sig Sauer P220 Stainless Elite. I've had this for quite a while, but don't shoot it much. - Remington R1 1911, bought recently -- today was my first time shooting it. - Colt 1911, made in 1918 and refurbished at some point later. Bought recently, today was my first time shooting it. - Colt M1917, made in 1918. Again, bought recently and today was my first range trip with it. The P220 is a pretty smooth pistol, no surprises there. The R1 1911 shot fine. I didn't fall in love with it, but it worked as intended. The Colt 1911 felt really good, and I shot well with it. And of course, I love the history. The sights suck, but I still shot a few big ragged holes with it. The Colt M1917 is very cool. Moon clips are a PITA, but I guess that comes with the territory. I wasn't the only one that really enjoyed that old 1911:

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention. You know, I've heard the term "hammer bite" before, but I never knew what it REALLY meant. I mean, I didn't understand how the hammer could hurt you. Well, after shooting that old 1911 today, I have a very clear understanding of the term.

Found a good use for a free treadmill. I need to get some 1/4" allthread to mount the other roller but this seems to be working fine the way it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh, I'm not falling for that trick . . . been there, done that. And then all the douchebags (mainly usrifle) are like, "Oooh, that slight scratch is not a major wound," "I can hardly see it," and "MEDIC!!".

That is awesome RocketScott....I've always looked at treadmills as "That's mechanics being wasted" rather than sweating on one. Good on ya!

REally beautiful rifle! I bet it will be a TICK driver (smaller than a tack) I'm planning to only take it to private ranges to limit my embarrassment. Thanks bud. I'll be breaking it in with some federal premium match then moving on to load development. Excited to start a new journey to precision with this rifle!
