So I have been contemplating on picking up a Henry. Any recommendations on what caliber to go with?
Just looking for one to have some fun at the range. Originally was thinking a .22LR but I have a couple of other rifles and pistols in .22. Maybe .357?
What Henry do you guys have and what made you go with the one you chose and why?
Just keeping my options open.
Thanks

I don't have one...but I have a hankering for a .357 lever gun. Just so I can live vicariously through your purchase, I vote 357

I've got a Henry in 22lr. It's a nice little rifle and fun to shoot. Mine had a feeding problem out of the box and they took great care of me. They sent me a prepaid UPS label and did the repair the same day they received it.

You can't go wrong with a Henry. I have lever actions in both 22lr and 357. Both are great a lot to fun to shoot. Shoot a 22lr with 22 shorts is great. Very quite.

I would vote for 22lr for the range. Cheap to shoot and very low recoil. .44Mag if you are ever thinking about taking it hunting.

.22 for fun and cheap.
.41 mag for hunting and possible long term appreciation

Have 2x.22LR rifles and a .44 from Henry. The .22's are great fun but I also really enjoy the .44

30-30, or if you have a revolver get one in the same caliber.

Golden Boy in 357 is my next purchase. Saving up my 20% off Cabelas gift cards and waiting for a sale. Should be 550 out the door. American made

Love my Henry! I went 45Colt and the recoil is like a 22lr. It's nothing. Sticking with the same caliber as your revolver is a good plan, gotta say though, I have been impressed with the 45 Colt.

I've had a Golden Boy and was afraid to lay it down the wrong way. I was so paranoid of scratching it I sold it. I now have a blued Henry 22 mag pump. I'm much more relaxed owning & shooting it.

I have a Henry .357 Big Boy, with the octagonal barrel that I have put probably 500 rounds through and every single time I pulled the trigger I enjoy shooting the weapon just a little bit more.
