In tonight's Times piece about the 7-11 shootings the police identify the revolver as a Ruger.

OOPS. It's clearly a Smith & Wesson. And an old one. And a rusty, pitted one. But with nice grips that could be refurbished.

Either the PD can't read a logo or the Times can't spell.

Let's all be thankful the PD did such a good job. Shoots what they aim at. And everyone is ok. And bless whoever invented Kevlar.

Here's the pic.

Everyone's always trying to blame Ruger for something. Maybe that's why every GP-100 has a warning, a plea to follow safety rules, a request to read the manual, a mailing address where you can get said manual, and an assertion that the gun is loaded when this here thingy is up.

It's any Gun maker. Remember, they "Just go off". Kinda like the little Gangbanger who did the Live facebook feed and shot himself.

He put the "Clip" in, and it "Just went off".

No.... you stupid little Jackass, you chambered a round, pulled the trigger and shot yourself.

No Fucks given, bye bye Jackass.

Personally, I like the biohazard tag. I wonder if you can kill that with flash-sterilization.

I saw that in the KOMO coverage and chuckled.

Basically the leftmedia have two types of guns: Revolver (Ruger) and Assault Rifle.

True enough, only for 1911's though.

Yep.

There have a few articles covering this shit - 1) lots of crimes go unsolved because cops misidentify the make/model/serial number of the gun and 2) that journalists fail to do their basic due diligence when it comes to reporting on guns - simply out of laziness (or anti gun sentiment).

This was a result of a movie - not the media. Our super smart politicians believed it.

It always cracks me up when the media reports: "There was a shooting tonight.... AND HERE'S THE GUN! Of course. Now that the gun is in custody we can move on with our lives. I laughed when they showed an ancient revolver like it was something novel. What I would prefer is: "There was a shooting tonight.... AND HERE'S THE BODY OF THE KILLER!

I know you're joking around, but every revolver ever made has a loaded chamber indicator
