Cheap hi cap mags. I currently cannot bring myself to trust my life to any keltec product. May just be prejudiced. Mike, am I full of shit here?

I can't blame you due to some of their past products. This rifle has never given me a single problem though. I will say one thing though, for whatever reason the receiver extension slaps the shit out of your face while firing it. Not an issue in a self defense scenario but it's not a pleasant range gun. But, definitely reliable in my experience.

Sub2k might get a look if I ever stumble on one cheap. https://www.keltecweapons.com/rifles/sub-2000/Unfortunately at work so cannot access any "weapon" websites at work so cannot look it up or I would have.

Have you decided on supersonic or not yet? That's the big issue here.
If you are hitting targets down range, I don't personally think that going super is a big deal. In which case, rifles over pistols every day of the week. Pistol AK would be excellent.

Keep my AK pistol in the truck...it's not hurting anything.... get a better muzzle device to push sound away... 9mm subsonic, standardize with 147gr HST... Now, the question is.... What 9mm platform? AR pistol, MP5, or conversion kit....

Help me understand the scenario requirements. The bad guy is more than 100m away, and LV style sniping at multiple targets. You are concerned that he will be able to locate you, behind cover, because of noise from your rifle?

Something a little more stable and accurate. The LVNV scenario isn't really a concern, just a thought....Muzzle flash and reports are easy to zero in on, especially at night....That works both ways, but as pointed out, I should GTFO, not hanging out....

I don't know about that. I'd guess that as a bad guy, not expecting armed resistance that is *not* LEO, I'd have a pretty hard time picking out muzzle flash from my targets. Your mileage may vary, and second kind of cool rules apply.

Second rule of cool always applies... haha... but 1st rule is still a factor.
It's primarily a GOOD/ICSH/BO/EDC gun...

While I do not claim they eliminate flash, I know from a recent range session that the difference in muzzle flash on a 223 sbr went from a HUGE daylight visible fireball, to no daylight visible fireball at all. It was honestly surprising how much the cans eat both in sound and sight. I would think that a 9mm sbr WITH can may be to the point it is not easily seen visually even at night.
