RanB = Randy. Great partner. Been involved with the suppressor legislation bills before me. Excellent with the elected officials.
They will speak on the bill in executive session. Hopefully vote on it for a "do pass"' recommendation. From there the floor of the house for a vote. Needs to pass the house by 2/17/16 (Edited date). After that to the senate law and justice committee for another hearing. Senate floor for a vote, then a signature by Inslee.
Plan B if not voted through judiciary, it gets pulled to the floor by the speaker of the house. Then voted, and passed to the senate. That how we got it passed in 2014. Another few bills were held hostage.

1/25/16 there is a senate hearing on the companion bill, SB 6165. 1:30pm J.A Cherberg Building, senate hearing room 4. If you are local and can make it, please do so. I'll be there.
As with the suppressor legislation, we are also running a companion bill in both houses. Having the hearing for the Senate companion bill allows the Senate to get up to speed on the issue and pave the way for the House bill. Most likely we will end up having another hearing for HB 2481 in the Senate, but it will be a cake walk after we get the Senate version of the bill passed through the Senate.
Redundant, but it works.
Please show up if you can. Even if you only sign up in support of the bill and don't speak, it is still a bonus for us.

I'm not sure I liked the questions coming from Senator Pedersen (D). i.e. Competency vs legally able to make a SBR.

Testimony went well.. I was unprepared. Expecting to follow Andy and just re-iterate some of his stuff with a splattering of my own, I was called upon first (FARK!). So, I muttered through it, then let the big dog have his day.
WAGR was there to speak AGAINST the Transfer Exemption for Non-Profits. I talked briefly with Rebecca from WAGR and she indicated that they have no fight against the SBR law.
