My goal is to make a can that I can use on a .308 and all three of my AR's. I like the YHM adapter/QD design but have something a little different in mind for my "build". Am not all that concerned about the loss of suppression if I use a .308 Can on 5.56, the .308 is the one that makes the big noise I'd like to reduce.

Those that require a CNC on LSD or just the simple "Freeze Plug Baffle" design?

If the freeze plug design was better, then silencers would be cookie cutter versions that sold for half as much. The fact is that complex baffles are not hard to make on a hobby lathe. If you use a deep cone or K (45 to 60 degrees), it is going to work well.

Quite a collection! As a new suppressor builder -- we have the Type 7 FFL with SOT -- I found it an amazing visual reference tool. My designs range from more or less conventional baffle/spacer configuration to a rather different steel monocore model. The monocore was designed for .22 LR pistols, but works very well -- so far at least -- on full power .223 AR platforms.

The only problem I foresee from a marketing point of view is that my suppressors are rather long and heavy. Starting out, I am aiming for effectiveness of suppression and lifetime durability with easy cleaning. I am experimenting with an all aluminum can and baffles, but based on limited personal experience and some of the pix I have seen, I have serious reservations about the longevity of aluminum baffles.

I am curious as to how you managed to acquire all those pix. Thanks again!
