What is legal in Washington state:

There are several type of Class 3 items that are restricted by the National Firearms Act.

Each state can impose additional restrictions on the sale, purchase, and transfer of class 3 firearms in addition to the compliance that is required with the national Firearms Act.

In Washington you can own the following items that are regulated the the National Firearms Act

Silencers
Any Other Weapon (AOW)
Destructive Devices (DD) except explosive devices
Short Barreled Rifles (SBR)

In Washington you cannot own the following NFA restricted items.

Machine Guns*
Short Barreled Shotguns (SBS)*

NOTE:* Not legal to own or possess parts that can make these firearms unless these items were legally acquired prior to July 1, 1994 and be in compliance with federal law or machine Gun, Short Barreled Shotgun, or Short Barreled Rifle but be possessed by by peace officer for official duty, armed forces, or person in compliance with NFA who has undergone Fingerprint and background check who in engaged in the production , manufacture, repair, or testing of Machine guns, SBR, or SBS (IE: class III dealer or manufacturer)

Follow this link to find out more about Washington and NFA restrictions on Class 3 Firearms

Also for other class 3 items a state license is required in addition to the requirements under the NFA

You can have hand-grenades, street-sweepers with a 12" barrel, and RPGs if you like also. :-bd

Just remember that EACH pull of that trigger will cost you a $200 tax stamp, the cost of the DD as well as the time waiting for said tax stamp....

Meh, Only on HE rounds.

You can re-load the RPG rounds also as long as they don't blow up.

Costs about $2.50 to do a drum dump from a street sweeper.

I usually check on ARFCOM in the "Armory"
There is tons of info on Destructive Devices in there.

Not sure how to break it down really. Destructive Devices have always been legal in WA.
40mm grenade launchers run about $1,500-$1,900. LMT sells them, Knights, Sage, Penn.
There are several rounds you can fire un-restricted. Chalk, Smoke grenades, flares, CS. The ones that blow up cars are the only ones that you have to pay an extra $200 stamp per round.

RPGs can be fired also un-restricted unless you can afford an anti-personnel round. I don't know how much those cost, but the RPG is about $2500-$3,500. Check Sturm.
You can use inert RPG rounds and reload them (without the EXPLODING bits). They use blackpowder as a propellant.
You can use them over and over. Just dont launch them over a big hill and lose them.

Then there is 20mm..........

Here is one next to a .50BMG to compare.
