Well, sort of. Seems that the Feds can't update the software on their 1920's vintage Commodore PC servers, so Silencer Shop did it for them. 10 minutes at a local Silencer Shop kiosk (one time) and 10 minutes on the internet at home, and I have a new SBR stamp on the way. Your form data, photo, & fingerprints are digitally uploaded and digitally signed, and then Silencer Shop prints & mails the Form 1 to the ATF & also notifies your local LE (stupid 41F). You never touch a piece of paper. Or spend hours driving around getting fingerprinted & passport photos. We'll see how long it takes for approval. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/06/21/atf-form-1-silencer-shop/

Nice. So what's the cost for this?
Besides the usual $200 to the ATF, it looks like Silencer Shop charges $34.95. Is that the final bill? Or do you pay something additional to the local FFL with the kiosk?
I just went through the process of getting prints and photos. Yeah, pain in the ass and it cost me $30 just for the prints, since my other choice was driving to downtown Seattle, paying for parking, fighting traffic and getting the King County Sheriff's office to do them for "free."

Yep, grand total was $239.95. 200 - stamp 5 - Silencer Shop stamp fee 34.95 - Form 1 submittal fee
Set up my account & did my prints at Pantel's kiosk. They just said thanks & asked if I'd had any problems getting my info into the system.

That's my plan, Silencer Shop claims that 90% of the truckload of apps they sent in June 2016 has been approved, so they believe times should drop quickly.

See the posts above . . . Rehv Arms in Covington and Pantel Tactical in Renton have them. Probably others too, but I don't know who they are.

I'm assuming this kiosk will do form 4s also? Is it as easy as it sounds like doing sbr. I hope so,I'll be home in a week and I'm going to have to go there and check it out.

For those in the south end, Easy County Guns in Elma has one as well.

I'll be going to see him Saturday,I get home Friday night at 1100pm,good thing he's only about 10 miles from me. I don't know if I'll do anything as far as the suppressor, since he's having his green beret day,I don't want to take away from that.
