I agree, you looked fast! I'm pretty sure that you kicked Loke's ass on that Texas Star.
And clearly, your XDM is far more reliable than his $10,000 custom race gun.....
Thanks! And ya.... that was A LOT of pick up shots for Loke! Good thing he was shooting open or he would have had a few standing reloads hehe ;) He's so fast, though, he still beats me on the stages he screws up badly!
Haven't posted in awhile! I'm also behind on a bunch of match videos. Here's my match from Custer, WA on August 7, 2016, two days before I headed off to Barry, Illinois for Production Nationals. Need to make that video still. It was a lot of fun, but BROKE my XDm AT Nationals. Finished the match with it, though. Sent it to Springfield when I got back for (hopefully) replacement. Crack on the breech face, crack on the slide where the slide lock lever holds it back, and a notch out of the frame by the ejector. I've been shooting my Glock 34 with the Vogel trigger, but I miss my XDm :( I want some of the pretravel eliminated off the trigger - feels so tiring having to pull the trigger so far lol
Oh, it was funny, at this match almost every stage had some sort of squatting down through low ports... I was slightly sore the next day after the thousand squats I did in all the walk-throughs all day.
Fun match, had some longer range stuff to shoot at (~33 yards) which was good for preparing for Open/Lim10 Nats. I'm so excited about the match NEXT WEEK! It's probably going to be the toughest match I've shot.... can't wait!
Had a fun match and got to bring home a turkey ;) I didn't get first, but the three who placed above me took off before winners were announced. So ya :) Had a great squad and everyone survived the constant rain. I didn't have any major screw ups, so maybe I'm improving a bit, and MAYBE over the next four cold months I can actually dryfire. I need to make A class this upcoming season! After my next classifier is posted I'll be at 68%, just 7% away from A class... and then just 10% more to Master. Sounds so simple lol
Oh... so I just posted on Enos and though I was posting here lol (may have something to do with the pint of scotch ale +some) so here it is: So.... I"ve been really frustrated lately. Like... not even wanting to watch/post any match videos. I am SO SLOW and haven't improved this year. I had such high expectations for this year that have been unmet. Pneumonia, bronchitis, nasty medication allergic reaction/hallucinations/etc. I was hoping to dryfire a bunch this year. I started being more active, took the kids hiking when I could until bronchitis took over my life and and prompted an asthma attack after any exertion. Ugh. I'm going to need to just either take it easy and not get better at shooting and be happy with that... or go for it and suffer, but be better. I think I'd rather improve. Maybe just pushing through it will help me get better. Or maybe I was just using it all as an escuse. I don't know. I have not been happy with the past 11 months. :( Well.... I have had a LOT of fun shooting. Just haven't imporoved as much as I would have liked. --End self pity rant.--
Well, Charis . . . your "self pity rant" actually surprises me. When I watch your videos, I'm always impressed by how much FUN it looks like you're having! You run back and forth, bang bang bang bang, your squeal when you screw something up, you seem to have fun with Loke, and you seem to have nailed the "flip the last round up in the air" trick.

No matter your scores, keep having fun!
Haha! Thanks! Yes, I am having a ton of fun! But still, at the end of the day, I want to do better because I know I can do better :) I guess improving is part of the fun. I am a little better at looking at the positives and believing I can do something. Instead of complaining, though, I'm actually going to work a little harder this year lol. Wishful thinking and shooting matches hasn't magically made me A or Master class, so I guess I am going to have to put out some effort. I am going to be a little disappointed when I stop screwing up and squealing; it's kinda fun to laugh at my mess ups lol Oh... I should totally make a blooper reel on when I mess up the flip and catch, sometimes it goes flying at Loke haha
