I saw this marked on the map here. Is this site open and a legal place for pistols? I’ll be in ocean shores and I could get in some range time if it is.

Welcome Dave! Nobody has reported on that site in a while. Sometimes the gate is locked, others it's open. Be sure to report back what you find!

Went by the area. There is a blue gate with a sign of private property authorized entrance only. Same company that owns property back by the humptulips river. Could not get in touch with them to see about access there. So probably the same here. Another gate just east of the blue gate. Chain link. No signs there. But gated and did not look as though any vehicles had been in there for some time. In other words it doesn’t look like there is any chance of shooting there. Dave

Thanks Dave. I’ll remove the spot from the maps here soon.

A real bummer. Would have been nice to combine clamming and fishing trips with some range time.

All of that area on the north side of 109 is private property except for a smidge 2.7 acres that belong to Grays Harbor County.

I spoke to the Rayonier (property owner) rep at the sportsman show. According to him nobody is supposed to be back there and he does occasionally get a call from the dog rescue nearby about shooting.
