A question about WAC BGC... Is it done only when you get membership? Is it required to renew it every year? It seems they tout that they do BGC on every sale, but they don't do they? Also if they don't require the background check each year, couldn't you enter a state where you might not pass and still buy a weapon years after you cleared?

You are all over analyzing this issue

Just remember the most important thing about this whole discussion.....

PERCEPTION IS IN MANY CASES MORE POWERFUL THAN REALITY.

I think this one fits that saying perfectly....especially in dealing with the Tacoma situation.

That was my point of asking. I'm not a WAC member so I don't know the small details. I'm well aware that perception becomes reality.

The difference is that I would like to see ALL promoters get together and agree to recognize the other promoter's "membership badge"

This would eliminate the need to belong to multiple "gunshows/organizations".

Will it ever happen.....probably not.

I paid $53.25 for my membership badge. It was issued by the State of Washington and included a background check with fingerprints. That should be all that is needed, at most.

As I stated above, I 100% agree.....however the City of Tacoma apparently doesn't.

My responses are not directed at any one person Oly....sorry if it seemed that way.

My comment was made in general.
