DIY Glock Double trigger undercut

Double trigger undercut, plus rounded the front bottom corner and removed the serrations on the front of the trigger guard.
Polished out the mold line on the inside of the trigger guard as well.

Came out pretty good. Need to do a little more polishing with 600 wet paper, but I'm pleased.

It's a Glock....where's the safety anyway? Oh yeah...it's on the trigger. Good plan Glock.

I had Glocks in the past, didn't like the grip. The new Gen 4 is changed enough that it is much more comfortable to me, very, very close to a 1911 shape, just slightly thicker.
However, Glocks are notorious for "Glock Knuckle", especially if you have large-ish hands. https://www.google.com/search?q=glock+knuckle
So this solves two things, the knuckle deal and it gets the grip up slightly higher and closer to the bore line, which helps with recoil control.
A friend of mine has 50k + rounds on his G-26 Gen 4 with more cut out than I did, and has no problems with any alleged trigger guard weakness.
I've shot with and without this mod, and the mod makes it much easier to control the gun.

This was way less scary to grind on than my $1500 English walnut shotgun stock. I was a little nervous before the first rasp cut on that...

Why not?
Many people pay 10 - 15 thousand for a factory shotgun, then pay another 2 - 3 k to have a custom stock made. Same deal here (only way cheaper).
I used to undercut the trigger guard on steel frame 1911's in the 80's, now most quality ones come like that.
Glock is a little slow to change their molds, so out comes the dremel.

I buy a platform that meets my needs, and then make it better. Haven't found anything perfect yet.
Did that to all my touring motorcycles the day after they come home - seat, bars, foot pegs, all that stuff get modded / changed / welded until it fits.

A gun is the same.

I think the work looks very professional. Nothing hack looking about that. It almost looks like the work was done at the factory.

People that don't understand the reasons for modifying guns to suit your needs/taste have obviously never experienced the pleasure derived from being creative or thinking outside the box. Hats off to you for an excellent job on a very reliable firearm.

I "modify " In One way or another every gun I own. Thats just what I like to do.
I'm picky that way.

Unless it is some crazy rare gun, hack away. The work you did looks damn good. Would be interested in shooting one with and without the mod one day.
