Hello! I figured I'd show off my beast. I started with a simple bushmaster xm15-e2s, and I slowly got bit by the modding bug. It's gotten a weeeeeeee bit heavy now, but it's a nice chunk of rifle. Now I've been thinking of selling it though. Really thinking about a 10-11" AR-Pistol. Time will tell.

How do you like that buttstock? I was looking at getting a new stock for mine. Does it rattle much?

That's a good looking rifle! I also approve of the multi-gender room decorating. Ammo crates on one side and sewing machines on the other! A+!

Nice build. I've had an AR since Friday and already have collected 15 bookmarks of things to upgrade...

Thanks! I'm still on the fence about the stock. The recoil pad is a little rattley. It's comfortable though. If I had to do it again, I might go with a skeletonized Magpul Uber stock. I have a foregrip coming that I'm going to mod to act as a folding mono pod for the stock's rail. We'll see how that works.
lol, as for the sewing machines... well.... they're mine. The room was a mess from working on about 15 projects at once. I'm one of those guys that teaches himself how to do things instead of paying others to do it for me.

haha, yeah, I was the same way. It took a lot of self control and a lot of peer reviews to take it out of stock A2 aesthetics. But I'm happy with the results. Though packing this around might get old, so I'm thinking about an AR pistol. Might have went that route in the beginning knowing what I know now. It's way more rifle than I really can justify. :I

Very nicely done; that's a badass-looking rifle!
Have you shot it? Any comments on how well it shoots, or if it feels good?

The white is just some grease-pencil in the grooves. The scope is an 8-24x ncstar. So far everything shoots and feels good. It's just heavy and not exactly something I would want to take on a long hike. lol

Yeah, that deffinately looks badass. Now that you've got that set up, you'll have to build a nice light weight AR for "hiking". :) I'll try to get a pick of my light AR up tonight to give you an example. Finally bought a patch cable for my camera.
