So my CPL (conceal pistol license) is coming up to renew and I live within the City of Kent. To renew at Kent, WA The permit office is open 24/7 Located next to the Kent City Hall. The police station permitting office (Lobby of Kent PD) is just South of City Hall. Can you believe it... It's open 24/7 and they will take your renewal application in 24/7. Now that was cool to find out. Here's the City's FAQ: it's more about new applications http://www.ci.kent.wa.us/content.aspx?id=2694Quote: Do I get a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) from Kent PD, or do I have to go to King County?
If you live within the city limits of Kent, you would apply for a CPL with Kent PD or the King County Sheriff's Office. If you do not live within the city limits of Kent, contact your local law enforcement agency. Currently we fingerprint CPL applicants various hours on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Saturday by appointment only. At the appointment, the applicant will complete an application, sign forms, pay the $55.25, and be fingerprinted. We then complete a criminal history background check. If all returns come back clear of deniable offenses (felony or domestic violence convictions), you will receive your CPL in the mail within one month. Contact the Kent PD Records Unit at 253-856-5800 to schedule an appointment. You can pick up an application from the Records section located in the lobby of the PD. You also need to sign the notice form included with the application. Remember to bring both of these forms to your CPL fingerprint appointment.

That's awesome. You'll have to go in at 3am just to prove the point.

Awesome. It's great to hear stories about CPL applications and renewals going well, instead of the more typical "it took the full 30 days" or "they told me to come in on the sixth Thursday of the month at dawn."

Having recently moved to Kent from Seattle, that's awesome to hear. Do they give you a nice plastic credit card sized permit like civilized jurisdictions do or another paper monstrosity like Seattle?
