These are all states that accept the Washington CPL AK, AR, AZ, FL, IA, ID, IN, KY, LA, MI, MS, MT, MO, NC, ND, OH, OK, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT I took a trip to Texas a few months ago.....with the G26 in tow. I was very surprised how easy it was to fly with a firearms as long as you follow the rules. Didnt hardly add any time to my check in process. I do however recommend contacting the airline you are flying with and asking them about their rules in regards to firearms. They may have different rules than the TSA. Got my CPL at Kent PD when I used to live there. 14 days for me, 7 days for my wife...... I couldnt believe it.

New member here and a refugee from Kalifornia. As a Lakewood resident I applied at the LESA office in downtown Tacoma on Dec. 22 and my CPL arrived Dec. 28. That's 6 days, over the Christmas holiday, and I had only been a resident for 35 days. That's amazing service, and I'm happy to be in a free state.

Once I get up there I plan on getting my CPL. I have 2 questions. 1) I was told that when I get up there and get my new WA DL they temporary paper one that I get right away will allow me to apply, is that true? 2) How difficult is it to get a non-resident CPL in Oregon? Thanks for the info!! Happy new year everyone!!

If you want to trust your colorful map go for it, but you're wrong. If thats not enough, here's some facts from our friends at the NRA. http://www.nraila.org/recmap/recguide.pdf

If you depend on the NRA site they are months and sometimes Years behind on updating the states that honor other states permit/licenses. The map shows North Dakota and Florida as honoring the WA permit/license and the NRA states they don't. Look at these two sites and you will see that the States of ND and FL honor the Washingotn Permit/License. http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/news/c ... carry.htmlhttp://www.ag.state.nd.us/BCI/CW/reciprocity.htmThe NRA also list Washington as only honoring 10 other states permit/licenses. Washington AG list 12 on their website and FL and ND are two of them. http://www.atg.wa.gov/page.aspx?id=7772The NRA is just behind on updating their website. But going by it will not get you in trouble in most instances. But they still have New Mexico as honoring Minnesota and NM Dropped MN from their list over 2 months ago. So always check info with an official site. I do every time.
