I just start to appendix carry my shield. Which I know that it is probably one of the fastest to draw from. Just wanted to know how you all sit when appendix carry?

I make sure to pull up the front of my pants before sitting down when I appendix carry. The only time it is semi uncomfortable is when I drive my 4Runner due to the seats being made for a person under 5 feet tall. Other than that, I prefer to carry appendix over my other IWB holsters designed for 3 o'clock position.

I have carried AIWB for 10+ years and never had a problem sitting down...I guess I've never thought about it.

For me, the gun just needs to be high enough when I sit that the muzzle isn't pushing into my leg or groin.
Sometimes I'll adjust the gun upwards a little when I sit, and then push it down again when I stand. I carry a Glock 42 in a nice little K-rounds holster that allows the gun to swing upward or downward.

Appendix carry? I'm assuming that's about 4-5 o'clock? Tried but never able to tolerate in any position other than standing. I usually consider my comfort more important than speed of draw when I conceal carry. It ensures that I'm more likely to keep doing it. I know sometimes seconds count but I guess it's just a chance I'm willing to take to carry consistently and comfortably. I use a N82 tactical holster for my 9mm shield and I absolutely love the holster. So comfy I can almost forget I gave it on. Recently been using a belly band a lot too because it works well with the athletic apparel that I tend to be wearing most of my life off duty.

the discomfort when I sit is why I switched back to hip carry when I got my shield. also, I didn't like a loaded weapon pointing at my junk....just made me a little uncomfortable.

I don't have a problem unless I'm sitting directly on the ground, then it's uncomfy. But chairs are fine. You'll get used to it.

Are you using a single clip or a double clip holster? Mine is a single clip so i just can't the pistol so that its not digging into my body. You can also ride your pants up or down depending on how you dress. This way, the muzzle is either pointing downward or outward.

What's worked for me is just hiking your pants up slightly when sitting down. Muzzle stops poking your leg and the gun sits against your gut. I hardly notice it when driving/sitting at my desk job.
