Yup, we wanted to make sure we had a presence there and mod BadKarma stepped up to the plate. Even though I am local, this week I was glued to my desk.

Re 1245: why didn't the people sponsoring this bill take action when 594 went to the leg in the first place? Why wait until now?
I can't see either of these bills getting enough support to get anywhere. And 1245 would need a supermajority, right? Prediction: the "head on" tactic will not work.

Umm 594 didn't go to the legislature.

Actually met him while he was working the crowd. He wore a sport jacket. They did a nice job, but my ticket wasn't a winner. Who do I talk to about that?
All in all a pretty good event. Speakers did a great job, Brian Shea and the Emcee especially. The miniature violation station was there as well. Nice folks there.
The one group that could have laid low a little more, in my opinion, were the folks with the long guns at the top of the steps. I must have heard 20+ actions being opened and closed on their shotguns and rifles. That was poor form, again, in my opinion, and a distraction to the rally that was noticed by many. That, and the guy encouraging everyone to "take back the capital building". At least he didn't shout, "wolverines!" I would guess they are the ones who will be featured on the news.
