Post What county in Oregon to go to for CCP
I've read a couple posts that most sheriff's in Oregon will not sign off on the concealed carry application for Washington residents, but there was one friendly county, so to speak.

Does anyone know? I can't locate the posts.

Thanks.

Sheriff Palmer from Grant Co Oregon used to make trips to Vancouver to do Orecon CPL's. I'm not sure if he is still doing this but you could do some google work to locate some info.

Other than that I know OldKim recently obtained his Oregon lic. Here is his thread on the subject: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=2128&p=16298&hilit=oregon#p16298

My son set it up for my birthday, so I don't have the exact details. But, I'll ask him and report back.

Apparently Northwest Armory hosts the class. However...my son called me last night and said he found the same class on line, and it provides a certificate when you complete the on line course, just as if you went to the classroom setting.

He says the on line class is about an hour, whereas the classroom is four hours. In that I had made the time to go to Portland anyway, we are going to take the online course together, and then with the three hours saved go shooting.

I didn't think to ask him last night for the website, but I'll get it and post it.

That sounds like a better plan, Nate.

I took a Utah concealed carry class from InSights recently (at West Coast Armory), and that class also counts for Oregon credit.

I've read that this on-line training course satisfies Oregon's requirement: http://mdgunsafety.com

Columbia County I heard accepts the MD online training. I took the Friday Harbor Gun Runner Class(National Safety First) course for UT and OR. Columbia accepted their training.
