Sandy Brown - one of the architects - is running - on gun control, no less - for Seattle City Council position #5. This is our time to show politicians that actions have consequences. Let's defeat the bastard!
You don't have to be a Seattle City resident to give to the council candidates. The most likely opponents seem to be Kris Lethin and Debora Juarez. If you can help by calling these and other candidates and talk to them about Seattle gun tax - which Sandy Brown enthusiastically supports - I would appreciate the help! I called and did not reveal my position on the matter...I just pointed out that Sandy Brown is a huge supporter of the proposed tax. Tyler from Debora Juarez's campaign said she supports the measure but doesn't think it will make much of a difference - which begs the question of why she supports it. Tyler then made a unsubstantiated claim that gun violence was "up." With that said, I wonder if Debora (or Tyler) understands that the proposal is illegal and would do absolutely NOTHING except reduce Seattle's tax revenue. To be clear, Tyler sounded like a college student. Sigh...I fucking hate Seattle.
Kris Lethin's campaign did not answer the phone - one ring and then straight to voicemail. |

He would be the Feinstein in Washington. I know it comes down to picking the lesser of evils, but Sandy cannot be elected. |
