Some idiot brings that up basically every year with basically the same wording. For a couple years they even had a provision to have the so-called assault weapons locked up and allowed for random LEO inspection of that. It won't get anywhere.
1/10 would be bored at token AWB legislation introduced again.

This guy is a regular machine, turning out bills. Take a look at http://app.leg.wa.gov/Mobile/BillSponso ... me=moeller. He represents the southern part of Vancouver, WA. Maybe he will fall in the river and get swept to CA.

Again and again?
OK.
I guess some would like bonus points for trying every year.
We get to keep shooting them down.

Wait - where the hell did this come from? I just saw this HB linked to by Lynnwood Gun & Ammunition on Facebook. Reading this bill makes my blood boil. This is going to be a long year I can tell. Normally I wouldn't stress too much but in this state, the power of the left is scary when it comes to these things.
For someone who doesn't follow the process closely - where is this one at? What's next for it?
Moeller is clearly a dumbass.

This is basically introduced every year. I'd not get too worried about it unless it actually reaches a committee hearing.

It is the cookie cutter bill from one of the Bloomberg groups. But I think just letting your local reps know you oppose is a good thing.

FROM: cycle61 STREET ADDRESS: xxxxx EMAIL: xxxxx PHONE: (xxx) xxx-xxxx BILL: 2354 (Oppose) MESSAGE: Strongly oppose this bill, this closely mirrors California's ineffective and arbitrary limits on certain firearms based on specific "features" of the firearm or magazine. This does nothing to promote public safety, as the overwhelming majority of crimes are not committed with weapons described in this bill. Additionally, differentiating between a firearm purchased or manufactured prior to the law and one purchased or manufactured after the law is functionally impossible, and no reasonable attempt to do so could be implemented.
