BTW He is sponsoring the child lock one.

Messaged all three of District 24 reps with this:

HB 2354 - Banning assault weapons and large capacity magazines

Dear 24th district Representatives,
I am a longtime citizen with a desire of keeping my constitutional rights intact. I am not alone with my ideals, there are many in this great state who feel the same as I do.
We have been awakened by the actions of the replacements of the Democratic party with the progressive liberals who desire total control of the citizenry and to desecrate the constitution, mainly the 2 amendment.
This bill is utterly appalling and a slap in the face of Washington residents who own these PDW's (Personal Defense Weapons). We are law abiding citizens, we do not need worthless Californian laws here.
The very people that need to be locked up are the career criminals the justice department releases after trivial sentences and plea bargaining. That being said, I implore you to "talk some sense" into those of your fellow legislators who cannot retain common sense when it comes to our constitutional rights.

Regards. Caveman Jim

Reply from Sen. Jim Hargrove:
Hi Caveman Jim,
I have never supported a ban on any type of firearm, and will continue to be a supporter of 2nd Amendment Rights. Thanks for your email.

Best regards,
Jim
Nothing yet from Van De Wege or Tharinger as of 4 pm today.
All heart and not savvy with facts but it's better than those who don't do anything. Will see you all at the upcoming rallies when they are scheduled..

Sen. Hargrove just replied that it is pretty much toast. I hope all the reports are accurate.

It will never make it out of the Senate. It's pretty much dead in the house as well.

Never got out of committee. No corresponding senate bill. It is still very dead.

Yep, a buddy in E. WA just heard back from Manweller...

Thank you for contacting me about your concerns regarding House Bill 2354. Fortunately, this bill did not even receive a public hearing and is considered dead for the remainder of the year. I am a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and will not vote for any gun control measures.

Regards,

Matt

Manweller isn't quite being honest:
http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/showt ... irdos-quot

That happened at a meeting I was at in Issaquah just a few months back. Manweller would likely vote to ban OC at least on campus and in government buildings. The guy is RINO and needs to be primaried-out in exchange for a liberty-minded conservative.
