While I think this is a stupid bill -- it is more about the rights of the property owner than it is about denying gun rights. They're just trying to go a step further than even Texas with "force of law". I think the point is that property owners have an adequate remedy now, asking someone to leave. I highly doubt there are any cases where this type of law would save a life.

I'm wondering if Hunt came up with it on their own or had help - *ahem*MDA/Bloomberg*ahem*

We don't need more laws for this. If you don't want someone in your house, just ask them to leave. If they refuse, call the cops and have them charged with trespassing.

Makes me wonder what the hell Hunt is up to? He hardly has to pander to constituents here in Olympia, and there isn't any sort of rabidly or even semi frothing anti gun sentiment among the population here.

Someone must have come over to his house CC and he had a panic attack or something and can't get the pee stains out of his carpet. Now someone has to pay.

The scary thing is that it may have no chance with the elected officials but if we keep the current 51% majority iniative process the uneducated feel good liberals may make this a reality.

You obviously have not the first clue about currently existing, and enforceable trespassing laws...

Funny that people who are scared of guns would be willing to confront one of those scary gun owners who are likely to go off all half cocked [emoji33]

So you think they can't ask someone to leave? Do you support this bill? What is your point?
