When is someone going to draft a bill or put forth an initiative that makes these things require a 2/3rds majority to pass? I'm sick of king county and the rest of these hoplophobes pissing on the rest of us.

Well, thanks for replying to them and adding some logic to the conversation. Unfortunately I doubt that it will make any difference, since I'm convinced that they don't care about logic or common sense, but they simply want to harm the gun-owning community.

Well, ever since Hanauer assured me they had "top men" working on 594 (and basically told me to get lost) I have not been a big fan. But that didn't change how I felt about 594 overall.

I know some of the big donors to 594. I may approach them directly and suggest they hold off until we can see what it looks like.
Unfortunately they're super progressive so they may not give a rat's ass.

"A threat to themselves or others".

Me putting on a gun every day makes the a threat to anyone who wishes to do myself, my family or anyone else around me harm... Stay out of other people's business. If someone wants to off themselves they are gunna do it, wether or not it's with a gun. As for others... 594 should prevent that

Am I the only one who noticed all the poor gramar in Anzac's note?

Thank you Anzac for replying and being willing to inject some degree of logic, no doubt that they will simply ignore. However, perhaps a couple more quick reads over your words before you sent them might have been in order.

I don't know Hanauer, never met him - he is a friend of a friend who gave me his email address.
He doesn't reply any more, they've labelled me a "gun nut" I assume, and also blocked me from WAGR Facebook.

So how long has this been law in CA, IN and the other state? What is the federal caselaw surrounding it, especially in the 9th Circuit?

There is no way that EPOs pass "due process" muster and that they also violate the right to face one's accuser or respond to charges against them before consequences are enacted. Just another reason why the GOP must enact a scorched-earth strategy and do absolutely anything and everything to stop Obama from filling Scalia's vacant seat.

So, is the text of this thing available yet, or do we have to wait?

Edit:
I just found their website. They just have the announcement up, that's it.

Edit again:
I am rather new to this.
