It's getting there. Few imperfections I'll address. But it's straight inside and out.

Dude that's absolutely amazing.

Does that come out as strong as the original receiver, like you'd trust it for 30,000 rounds?

Some folks do equalizing measures with baking and freezing. I'll probably look into it more. Most I put thru a reweld AK was 10 ish thousand rounds before I gave up SOT. Lugs are way forward an safe so no worries there. Only worries would be stretch from battering of the carrier over time. But I don't let anything get too hot , just lots of build up back and forth evenly.

Right, because you don't want to affect the heat treat of the whole receiver itself, as you can't really heat treat the thing again with the welds being part of it now.

Fascinating. I remember seeing demil kits in Shotgun News 30 years ago, back then I didnt know this could be done.

Yeah exactly. Some voodoo magic to this an 100 opinions how to do it. I've successfully welded everything from 22's to 50's an still have my fingers and eyes.

Oh I just noticed this is a milled receiver, so that makes it easier due to the thickness, right?

Is this possible with a stamped receiver?
